Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 25, 2026
Last updated: August 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Pam Hemann for State Representative (the “Committee,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects through pam4pa.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only. It does not apply to third-party websites we link to, including ActBlue, or to conversations you have with the Committee away from this website.
The short version
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- We never see or store your payment card information. Contributions are processed entirely by ActBlue, on ActBlue’s own website.
- We use one analytics service, Google Analytics, and it loads only after you consent through the cookie banner.
- You can unsubscribe from our email at any time, and you can ask us to delete what we hold.
- Some contributor information is required by Pennsylvania law to be publicly reported, and we cannot delete what the law requires us to disclose and keep.

Information you give us
We only receive what you choose to send. Depending on which form you use, that may include your name, email address, postal address, phone number, and any message you write. If you volunteer, it may include your availability and what you would like to help with.
Please do not send sensitive personal information through this website — for example, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or health information. We do not need it and we do not ask for it.
Contributions
Every “Donate” link on this site sends you to ActBlue. Your contribution is made on ActBlue’s website, not on ours. ActBlue collects and processes your payment information under ActBlue’s privacy policy and terms of service, and we encourage you to read them.
The Committee then receives contribution records from ActBlue, such as your name, address, employer, occupation, email address, and the amount and date of your contribution. We never receive your full card or bank account number.
Campaign finance reporting
Pennsylvania campaign finance law requires political committees to report contributor information to the Commonwealth, and those reports become public records. Depending on the amount you give, that can include your name, address, employer, occupation, and the amount and date of your contribution.
This is a legal obligation, not a choice we make. It also means that where the law requires us to report or retain contributor records, we cannot honor a request to delete them.
Information collected automatically
Like nearly every website, our web server keeps standard log records: your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the date and time. These logs are used for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.
We also use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-W8PQ166KZ3) to understand how many people visit and which pages are useful. Analytics loads only after you accept the “Statistics” category in our cookie banner. If you decline, the analytics tag is never loaded. Google’s handling of that data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. You may also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

How we use your information
- To reply when you contact us
- To send campaign news, event invitations, and volunteer opportunities you asked to receive
- To organize volunteers and events
- To acknowledge contributions and meet our campaign finance reporting obligations
- To understand which parts of this site are useful, so we can improve it
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse
- To comply with the law
Email and text messages
If you give us your email address, we may send you campaign updates using Brevo, our email service provider. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. You can also email pjhemann@gmail.com and ask to be removed.
If you give us a mobile number and agree to receive text messages, message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. We do not sell or share your phone number with anyone for their own marketing.
Who we share information with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only in these situations:
- Service providers who operate this site and our communications on our behalf, and only for that purpose. Today those are ActBlue (contribution processing), Brevo (email delivery), Google (analytics), and GreenGeeks (web hosting), along with the software vendors whose tools run this site.
- Public campaign finance reports, as described above and as required by Pennsylvania law.
- When the law requires it — for example, in response to a valid subpoena or court order — or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Committee, our supporters, or the public.
- Committee staff and volunteers who need the information to do their work and are expected to keep it confidential.
How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected and then delete it, with two exceptions. Contribution and compliance records are kept for as long as Pennsylvania campaign finance law requires. Server logs and analytics data are retained on our providers’ standard schedules.
Your choices and your rights
- Unsubscribe from email at any time using the link in any message.
- Change your cookie choices at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the site footer.
- Ask what we hold. Email us and we will tell you what personal information about you we have.
- Ask us to correct or delete it. We will, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Opt out of analytics by declining the Statistics category, or by using Google’s opt-out add-on.
Residents of some states, and of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, have additional rights under their local law. We extend the choices above to everyone who asks, wherever you live. To make a request, email pjhemann@gmail.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We will respond within 45 days, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
No analytics or advertising tag loads on this site unless you affirmatively accept it, so this site does not track you by default. We honor the choice you make in the cookie banner. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of under “Do Not Sell or Share” laws.
Children
This website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contributions may only be made by individuals who are legally permitted to make them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS, is kept up to date, and is protected by login-attempt limiting and server-level firewalling. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you give us — and we do not store payment information on this site at all.
Links to other websites
This site links to other websites, including ActBlue, the Pennsylvania General Assembly, and the news sources cited on our Fact Cards. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those sites. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the site it points to.
Accounts and comments
Public account registration and public comments are turned off on this site. Only Committee staff and our web provider have accounts.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and we will note material changes on the site.
